Driver Bio
I bought 'Blue 5' in 2016 and began racing in earnest in 2017. (My first car at 17 was a 1964 Mk II Midget, hence why I was drawn to this car.) I had to learn really fast, but a combination of reliability, luck and a little more speed saw me secure 5th Position in 2017, 4th in 2018 and 3rd in 2019. Since then and through Covid, results have been sporadic. We have worked on getting the car to be more bidable and feel we might have more right this year. (2024) I love motorsport and race with a great bunch of guys, who are focussed primarily on having fun. Its a great atmosphere and the Midget holds its own against some seriously big and quick cars. The car now has a 1340cc race engine originally built by Keith Calver, but in 2023 rebuilt by Mike Stewart (MSPE Errol) and it is married to a Quaife 'Rocket' box. The car puts out around 130bhp .... when everything is working well!
