Race Against Dementia Kart Team
Last month, Larkhall kart circuit announced a fantastic new initiative to help raise money for Race Against Dementia Charity; Sir Jackie Stewarts charity that is dedicated towards funding pioneering research into the prevention and cure of dementia.
Over the month of August, endurance kart races are being held at the recently renovated Larkhall circuit, with all proceeds going to Race Against Dementia.
Dementia has unfortunately effected the lives of some of our own team and with Sir Jackie Stewart serving as our club Patron, it is a cause that is close to our hearts. As such, we are delighted to show our support for this great initiative by fielding a team for the Endurance kart race on Thursday 29th August, at 6pm.
Of course, we don’t just want to make up the numbers and being a racing club, we reckon we might have quite a few handy peddlers within our midst!
With this in mind, we’re looking for 4 fierce and fast drivers to form the SMRC Kart Team, tackle the competition and most importantly help us raise money for this fantastic cause.
How to join the team?
You need to be:
- A member of the Scottish Motor Racing Club
- Aged 14 or over
- Available and able to make it to Larkhall kart track on the evening of 29th
If you feel you have what it takes to represent the club simply email admin@smrc.co.uk and tell us very briefly; who you are, what your experience is and why you think you should be in the team before 5pm on Tuesday 20th August.
The selected drivers will get free entry to the event. However, poor performance may result in some form of forfeit!
Good luck!
